Academic Librarians (Faculty and School Liaison)
An Academic Librarian is designated for each subject area and has responsibility for liaison with teaching staff about the Library resources needed for new and existing courses. They aim to keep in touch with the teaching and research interests of their schools and faculties, so that they can help plan Library provision for new courses, and keep staff up to date with finding information in their subject area. Academic Librarians usually attend course development and review meetings, course committees/annual monitoring meetings and other appropriate committees.
