Information Databases

The Library subscribes to a large number of abstracting and indexing services, or Information Databases, covering a wide range of subject areas and journal titles. Some are in printed format, while others are available on CD-ROM in the Libraries or on the Web.

Indexes are lists of articles under author or subject headings. They give a full reference to the article, for example, the title of the journal, author, year, issue number and page.

Abstracts also give a summary of the article. This allows you to judge whether it is worth finding the full article.
