- New Wireless Network in The Library. The University has introduced a new wireless network, Eduroam, to supplement the existing one available across the campuses.
- Skills for Learning Workshops Spring Timetable. The spring programme of drop-in workshops includes 'Critical thinking', 'Posters with PowerPoint' and 'Referencing - Harvard style'.

- Printer Relocated to Ground Floor at Headingley Library. After reviewing the statistics on use of the printers within The Library and listening to your feedback, one of the black and white printers from the second floor has been relocated to the ground floor.
- No Library Telephones Sun 28th Feb 08:00-09:30. Due to essential maintenance, you will not be able to contact The Library by telephone on Sunday 28th February from 08:00 to 09:30.

- Reading in to Student Satisfaction. The Library is proving to be a hit with students once again after appearing in the top ten of the Times Higher's annual Student Satisfaction Survey for the second year running.
- Self-Service Holds Prove a Success. 28% of people are already picking up their holds during The Library's self service hours, according to a survey conducted in December.

- No Civic Quarter Library Telephones Sat 16th Jan. Due to essential maintenance the telephones in Civic Quarter Library will be unavailable on Saturday 16th January from 08:00 - 11:00.
- eJournals List Downtime Mon 18th Jan. Due to a scheduled upgrade, the Find eJournal list will be unavailable from approximately 8pm on Monday 18th January until 2am on Tuesday 19th January.

- Access the Catalogue from Facebook. You can now search the Library Catalogue, check out what you have on loan, on hold or your fines via Facebook, thanks to a pioneering project by Library staff.

- Business and Tourism Journals in The Library. Following the move of stock between Civic Quarter and Headingley over the summer, journal locations in the Library Catalogue are still being updated.
- 17th
- Interlibrary Loan Charges. The cost of Interlibrary Loans is now £2. This is the first time in nearly 20 years that the cost has increased, despite the British Library regularly raising its charges.
- The Library Welcomes New and Returning Students. The Library has made a number of changes and improvements over the summer vacation.
- Skills for Learning Workshops for the Autumn Term. Throughout the academic year Skills for Learning runs free drop-in workshops at both Headingley and Civic Quarter campuses covering academic writing, maths and IT skills.

- Elluminate/X-stream Downtime 18th/19th July. Due to a scheduled upgrade, Elluminate (via X-stream and the ELM Web interface) will be unavailable from approximately noon on Saturday 18th July, and should be available again on Sunday morning.
