Students

Whilst you are studying a Leeds Metropolitan University validated course at one of our Regional University Network partner colleges, you can request membership of The Library at Leeds Metroppolitan University by applying for a Campus RUN Card. When you have your card you may use the two campus libraries at Headingley and City Campus.

To apply for a Campus RUN Card, please complete this form. Please remember to have it signed by your tutor, and return it to the address on the form with the requested photo. Your card will be sent directly to your home address.

Enquiries about Campus RUN Card application:
email run.office@leedsmet.ac.uk or
telephone 0113 812 5173.

What will I be able to borrow?

Upon receipt of your Campus RUN card, ask for your Library PIN at the Help and Information Point in The Library. With your card and PIN you can borrow up to 5 books for 2 weeks. You can log in to the Library Catalogue and use the Self Service function to extend this loan period, provided that no one has "placed a hold" on that book. You can return the items you have borrowed to The Library at either campus, City or Headingley. Your borrowing entitlement does not include short loan items, videos or journals.

Fines

If you have any outstanding fines on your card, you will not be able to renew any items you have on loan, or borrow any more items until the fine has been paid. Fines on overdue items are charged at 20p per item per day overdue.

Access to IT

Whilst in the library, you can request a temporary one-day login to use the PCs.  You can also access some of the electronic resources of The Library at Leeds Metropolitan university.  Please ask at the Help and Information Point for further details.

In addition the following electronic resources can be accessed via your RUN college:

Emerald
This database contains full text management journal articles. A username and password (specific to the partner college) is supplied to each RUN college library for Leeds Metropolitan college-enrolled students. Please ask your college librarian for them.

Skills for Learning

Staff

Staff of the Regional University Network partners who deliver Leeds Metropolitan University programmes may become Associate Staff members. Associate Staff cards are for users who are not members of University staff but who need to work at or with the University. They provide temporary access to the same facilities as Leeds Metropolitan staff, as specified by the Faculty or Resource area making the request. RUN Associate Staff Membership Application

RUN staff can request staff of The Library at Leeds Metropolitan University to deliver an introduction to Library resources and information skills sessions, for University- and college-enrolled students. These can be arranged via the Leeds Metropolitan University RUN Office.
